About Me

I’ve lived in Portland for 30 years. I’m married, with two sons. I ride a bicycle. I like to cook, eat and travel.

I got into business law because I was a businessman before I ever went to law school. Specifically, I was in real estate investing and management. Out of law school, I mostly practiced personal injury law, but my focus was on growing the firm. I was the businessman of the law firm - marketing, business growth planning, hiring, drafting procedures, etc.

Now I’m a generalist. I will draft your will, advise you on business matters, write a partnership agreement. If there’s ever a matter where you would be better off with a specialist (divorce, patents, criminal), I’ll get you to one. My focus is on helping small businesses form and thrive.
